How does online nutrition coaching work?

We’ll use an app that has messaging, resources, tracking, etc…all in one place to make it easy for you. We’ll also have regular check-ins, but we can tailor this to your needs. Options include messaging in the app and/or video calls. I will learn about you and your goals. I’ll help set expectations, a timeline, short and long term priorities, and most importantly day to day habits. Oh yeah, and the food part. I can help you with macro and calorie goals and give you suggestions for how to reach them based on foods you like to eat and your schedule. We can also game plan for things like eating at restaurants, vacations, and weekend trips away from home.

How does online nutrition and fitness coaching work?

Online nutrition coaching will use an app that has messaging, resources, tracking, etc…all in one place to make it easy for you. We’ll also have regular check-ins, but we can tailor this to your needs. Options include messaging in the app and/or video calls.

Online fitness coaching will use an app that will show you your workout frequency, what exercises to do, how many sets and reps, the intensity level, and some coaching tips. You’ll also be able to log each workout with the weight or resistance used (if applicable). This will help me keep your next workout plan in line with your likes/dislikes, abilities, and goals.

do i have to eat or give up certain foods?

Hell no. There isn’t one perfect diet, and many eating styles can achieve the same goal (like weight loss). We will work together to find out what foods you enjoy, which ones you don’t, and come up with a plan that works for you. We may have to limit the quantity of certain foods, but we won’t make anything off-limits unless you want to.

do you provide meal plans?

Meal plans are out of my scope of practice. I can help suggest calorie and macronutrient targets and also help identify some recipes that may work for you.

do i have to weigh myself on the scale?

There are many ways to measure progress, and the scale is simply a tool to do that. If you want to lose/gain weight, we need to, you know, measure your weight. But we’re also going to measure success in other ways like: measurements, photos, how your clothes fit, and your energy levels. We do this because progress on the scale is not linear. At times, your scale weight may be the same for days or even (gasp) weeks. Typically, other measures of success are moving in the right direction or will give us a sign if things need to be adjusted.

how does my subscription work?

Each plan is for 1 month, and it automatically renews for the same price and term (1 month) unless you cancel. I want to create long-term relationships with clients. I want to work with people that want to work with me. I keep it month to month so that you know I’m not trying to lock you into anything. I’m hoping that once we meet and get going, you keep your subscription because you want to work with me.

I also want all of my clients to eventually get to the point where they don’t need me.

do you offer refunds?

There are no refunds for online coaching subscription payments. If you choose to cancel, your plan will simply expire (and not renew) at the end of the month.
